Why Should You Choose Dysport Injections?
If you’ve started noticing signs of aging on your face, you’re not alone. Time and aging are inevitable, but showing age on your skin doesn’t have to be. Fine lines, wrinkles, and creases are common as we get older, and many things can contribute to how our bodies adapt over the years. If you’re like most men and women who are constantly looking for ways to prevent or slow the aging process, injectible cosmetics could be the answer. So, why choose Dysport as part of your injectable treatment plan? Dysport works beneath the skin, injecting into the face and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles creating a smooth natural appearance. After just one injection procedure, you will see a dramatic difference in your aging skin, without freezing and losing your facial expressions.
What is Dysport?
Dysport is a non-invasive, non-surgical injection made from botulinum toxin. If you hear the word toxin and want to run… don’t! The FDA has ruled this treatment, when issued by trained professionals in the recommended dosage, a completely safe option for treating wrinkles and creases on the face. Dysport injections block the muscle that is essentially creating and worsening lines, wrinkles, and creases on the face, from contracting. Simply put, Dysport relaxes and softens the working muscles, creating a smooth surface where we commonly show signs of aging, helping you look and feel younger, longer.
How long does Dysport last?
No cosmetic treatment is a one size fits all, and injectables are no different! Dysport is fully customizable to a client’s needs and desired results. If you’re like most, the first time getting injectable cosmetics can be a little nerve-wracking. The most important thing to remember is that Dysport is a popular temporary, very low-risk treatment option with results showing within just two days! Although every person varies, Dysport injections typically last for 3-4 months and possibly up to 6 months at a time. You will want to continue with follow-up appointments to maintain your results and prolong your anti-aging prevention.
What makes Dysport Different?
Dysport has recently been proven to last longer than its rival injectable treatment, Botox. It is also said to have faster, more effective results in a shorter amount of time. Both treatments contain the same botulinum toxin, but there are key differences that set the two apart. And it has to do with the technical side of the injection, the potency of the toxin in each syringe that’s being released at a time. Another reason why you should choose Dysport? You can receive a treatment in as little as two days before an upcoming event and see the effective results.
Preparing for Treatment:
Prior to any treatment, you will have either an in-person or over the phone pre-consultation. Once you and your service provider have decided that you are a prime candidate for Dysport, they may recommend a couple of suggestions to limit bruising or bleeding during or after treatment. You may be asked to stop taking certain allergy medications, blood thinners including Advil, sleep aids, and muscle relaxers. You may also want to consider skipping your gym class before a treatment, as exercise can increase the risk of bruising.
What Should I expect from my Dysport Treatment?
After your consultation, there is little prepping for injections other than confirming your problem areas needed treatment and verifying that Dysport is the best option for optimal results. Anesthesia and numbing are not needed as there is very little, to no, discomfort. From there, your Dysport treatment itself is just minutes long. It is safe to schedule your follow-up appointment as soon as 90 days after your treatment! If you decide to discontinue Dysport injections, your face will not look any different than it did prior to treatment. Your areas of concern will simply return to where they were before beginning Dysport injections, which is another great reason why to choose Dysport. You will not be locked into a treatment plan and can stop injections at any time.
Are there After-Care Instructions or Downtime?
You will want to avoid rubbing or massaging your face after treatment, keep hydrated, and avoid things like a hat that restrict the newly injected area. But otherwise, there is absolutely no downtime needed after your Dysport treatment. Go back to work after your lunch-time treatment and go about your day per usual. If there is swelling or discomfort that arises, you can apply ice packs to the injection site but will want to avoid taking Advil or other blood thinners for up to 24 hours after your appointment.
Who is eligible for Dysport Injections?
There are many common areas that we all show aging first, on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and around the eyes and mouth. The good news?
