Main signs of aging

Wrinkles & Fine Lines
Wrinkles are most noticeable on the parts of the body that are regularly exposed to the sun such as the face, neck, hands, and forearms. Genetics may play a part in the appearance of wrinkles, but ultimately the sun is the major cause of wrinkles. Your age, repetitive movements, and smoking also play a role in the appearance of wrinkles.

Here at the National Laser Institute, we offer the following treatments to help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles:

  • eMatrix
  • MicroLaser Peel
  • Profractional
  • Microneedling
  • Microneedling with P.R.P
  • Botox
  • P.R.P Injections

Loss of Volume
As we age we tend to lose volume in our face. Volume is usually loss in the cheeks, lips, and brows. To restore the loss of volume in your face we offer dermal filler injections at our medspa. Dermal fillers are a hyaluronic acid-based product that is used to volumize and plump up the areas on the face that may be lacking in volume. Dermal fillers can last for six to nine months so they are the perfect treatment to get if you are looking to reduce the signs of aging involved with lack of volume in the face.

Loss of elasticity
As we age the elasticity in our skin begins to deteriorate and our skin begins to sag. This is a common sign of aging and one of the main things that cause people to look older. Tight skin is associated with youthfulness. Here at our medspa, we offer a few treatments that can tighten your skin and get rid of the sagging. You’ll have tighter, more youthful-looking skin in no time!

Here at the National Laser Institute, we offer the following treatments to help with the loss of elasticity:

  • PDO Threads
  • Skin Tightening
  • eLight
  • Profractional

Reduce Signs of Aging Naturally
Here are some of the main ways that you can reduce signs of aging on top of getting treatments. If you aren’t taking care of your skin outside of doing treatments then your skin won’t reach its capacity to look its best!
1. Wear Sunscreen
We all know that we should be wearing sunscreen, but if you really want to prevent signs of aging this is one of the most important things to start doing! No matter what age or complexion you are you should be wearing sunscreen. Make it part of your daily skincare routine and you will thank yourself in the future!
2. Stop Tanning
Tanning damages your skin cells which leads to signs of aging being more apparent. On top of that, it can also cause cancer! Instead, start using a self-tanning spray!
3. Stop smoking
Smoking can lead to dry and discolored skin. It also depletes nutrients that help to protect and repair damaged skin. On top of that, we all know that smoking is overall bad for your health. Cut this habit and you’ll be preserving the health of your skin!
4. Try not to make repetitive facial expressions
Repetitive facial expressions are what leads to wrinkles and fine lines. Try not to scrunch your face too much, those expressions will be very apparent in the future!
5. Eat healthy
A healthy diet benefits everything about your health! If you’re looking to preserve your skin then you need to make sure you are eating well! Eat foods such as fatty fish, avocados, walnuts, dark chocolate, and green tea.
6. Drink less alcohol
Alcohol leads to skin that is dehydrated. Your skin is your body’s largest organ and it needs a lot of water to look and feel its best. If your drinking too much you’re more prone to skin issues and signs of aging.
7. Exercise
We all know that exercise is good for your body overall. The effect that exercise has on your skin is that it helps to nourish the skin cells and keep them vital. This helps your skin stay youthful and vibrant. As you may have noticed before, many people who workout consistently often have more glowing, youthful skin and that is definitely not just a coincidence.
8. Be gentle when you clean your skin
Being too harsh when you are cleansing your skin can damage your skin when you are meaning to help it! Make sure you are being gentle when you are cleansing your skin and using product on it.
9. Wash your face twice a day
Washing your face daily helps to rid your skin of anything that may have built up on the surface of the skin over the course of the day. Make sure you are washing your face twice a day to keep it in its best condition.
10. Moisturize your skin daily
No matter what your skin type is, your skin needs moisture! There is nothing worse for your skin than a lack of moisture. To keep your skin youthful and looking and feeling its best you need to be moisturizing it daily (and drinking lots of water)!
11. Don’t use anything on your skin that irritates it
Try to avoid irritants on your skin. Be aware of products that irritate your skin and food that causes you to break out. The less irritated your skin is, the better!
