Jeuveau is the newest competitor on the market for Botox. In addition, the injectable is made from botulinum toxin and designed to provide the same results as Botox. Because of these similarities, it’s also made to temporarily reduce signs of aging by smoothing deep wrinkles and facial creases.

Similarities Between Botox and Jeuveau

These injectable treatments have extremely similar features to them. They both list extremely similar side effects, onset time for results, and both require little to no downtime for recovery. In addition, Botox and Jeuveau originate from the same toxin, botulinum toxin Type A and have roughly the same cost for treatment.

Difference Between Botox and Jeuveau

Although both injectables seem alike, there are differences between Botox and Jeuveau. The main differences come down to manufacturing. Jeuveau prides itself on its purification process when making its gel injectable formula. Botox has FDA approval for cosmetic procedures and in addition, it has other medical uses. These include headaches, severe sweating, and more. On the other hand, Jeuveau is purely for cosmetic use and only FDA approved for treating wrinkles, creases, and fine lines.
