Photofacial Chest Rejuvenation

While it may seem far off, party season is just around the corner. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could wear that little black dress with confidence and not have to worry about wrinkles and freckles on your décolleté?

The Photofacial is for more than just the face. Photofacial chest rejuvenation is the best way to treat the delicate skin on your décolleté without using harsh chemicals or creams. Watch and we’ll show you how you can prevent and correct photoaging on your décolleté with the Photofacial chest rejuvenation treatment in our special pre-party season vlog with Louis, Samantha and Tara!

Photofacial Chest Rejuvenation

“This is a quick treatment. We are doing the chest area. So it’s called a Photofacial, but I think only of the face,” says Louis Silberman, CEO, National Laser Institute Med Spa.

“No, it’s full body. It’s for every body part including arms, legs and chest,” says Samantha, Laser Technician, National Laser Institute Med Spa.

The Photofacial uses Intense Pulse Light (IPL).  It’s a light-based device which helps to target both red and brown spots. The treatment is also known as a Photofacial which helps to accelerate cell turnover, build collagen, and even out skin tone.  Intense Pulsed Light technology works to photo rejuvenate the skin.  We suggest Photofacial treatments for clients who have brown discoloration, age spots, and freckles, particularly on the face, chest, and body.

“I see a bright light flashing, Tara is it painful?” Louis asks client, Tara.

“No, not at all. It feels like a slight rubber band snap,” replies Tara.

“Now Samantha, are we spot targeting any spots or freckles or are we just doing a smooth kind of overlay of the whole chest?” asks Louis.

“We are doing the whole chest because this is prevention and correction. We don’t only treat the spots that we see, because this can pull out spots that you can’t even see,” says Samantha.

Our skin experiences aging over-and-above the chronological aging that our bodies do because of our skin’s direct contact with the environment. The single environmental factor that ages our skin more than any other is UV radiation from the sun’s rays.  UV radiation causes a process called photoaging. Contrary to chronological aging, which results solely with the passage of time, photoaging transpires when skin is exposed to UV radiation again and again.

“So you’re saying she could have an area with sun damage that you could target, but the areas that look perfect, you’re saying there’s some damage under the skin that could come to the surface and come out in the future?” asks Louis.

“Absolutely. It’s prevention and correction and that’s where the future of skin care is going,” says Samantha.

Cumulatively, the sun’s UV rays cause photoaging by damaging elastin. This causes our skin to sag, stretch as well as to bruise and tear more easily. The consequence of photoaging is premature wrinkles, leather like skin, age spots, and spider veins which may present on the nose, cheeks, neck, and chest.

Considerable progress has been made in recent years to explain the cellular and molecular mechanisms that bring about photoaging.  There is a big difference between cellular communication of photoaged skin versus normal, chronologically aged skin when anti-aging treatments like Photofacial chest rejuvenation are done. The purpose of photoaging treatments is to prevent and correct the damage with anti-aging treatments.

“Wait, why are you stopping?” asks Louis.

“Because I’m done,” quips Samantha. The entire treatment took less than one minute. While it costs $300 for the Photofacial chest rejuvenation treatment, Louis asks if it’s worth the price.

“Yes, because her chest is going to look amazing. You can see results even after one treatment. Usually three or four treatments once a month will be effective,” says Samantha.
